Water Purification Tablets
Emergency Germicidal Drinking Water Tablets make all waters bacteriologically suitable for drinking when treated as directed. These tablets give you
the added option of drinking stream and pond water without boiling. These water sources are typically of uncertain quality. You are not restricted to
only collecting safe water from tree roots and branches, thistles, dew, frost, snow, rain, etc. 50 tablets per bottle treat up to 25 quarts.

is known to outdoor enthusiasts around the world. The Suunto* Gem Micro
Compass provides a high quality, liquid filled capsule with a rotating,
ratcheted dial and straight edge marked in inches for easy map use. Red
Fox tested this Suunto* Compass along with other brand name micro compasses
at extreme conditions of 10,000ft. elevation and 40 degrees below 0o
F. Suunto* excelled in performance! To our surprise, other brand name compasses
developed vacuum bubbles which significantly interfered with compass accuracy.
You can depend on Suunto* accuracy wherever you go! And, Suunto provides
instructions for proper compass use. For your safety, Red Fox recommends
that you always carry a 2nd Suunto* compass as a backup in case one is lost
or broken. We also teach other orienteering methods; by utilizing your watch,
shadows and stars; in our Red Fox Emergency/Survival Instructions!
Signal Whistle
Our Signal Whistle is an excellent signal device because its shrill sound carries a great distance. As an SOS distress signal, blow three short bursts
with a brief pause between each. Pause longer after completion of the three bursts and repeat. Red Fox teaches you to avoid screaming for help.
Screaming wears you down physically and emotionally and creates a sense of panic. Other signaling methods are also discussed in our Emergency/Survival

Signal Streamer
Our bright orange Signal Streamer is a highly visible signal device. Whether
you need to remain in your shelter, or are out collecting water, food, etc.,
find a small tree in a clearing that can be easily seen from several different
directions. Wrap the Signal Streamer around the tree like you would tinsel
on a Christmas tree. Other signaling methods are also discussed in our Emergency/Survival
Instructions! Signal Streamer is also useful for marking your trail when
you are out collecting water or food and need a clearly visible way to make
your way back to your shelter and supplies. Red Fox teaches you how
to avoid becoming worn down physically and emotionally. This can create
a sense of panic. Also useful for rescuers to mark territory where they
have already searched for a missing person.
Signal Mirror
Constructed of 1/4" highly reflective laminated glass, this military type signal mirror is useful in emergencies, routine signaling or for any
mirror application. A unique mesh targeting system provides pinpoint aiming accuracy. Glass can be polished to a finer reflective surface than plastic
or metal mirrors, making glass the superior signal mirror. When signaling, if no specific target is identified, simply sweep the horizon or mountain
ridges. Detailed instructions are included on the back of the mirror. 2" x 3"
Waterproof Match Box
Our Waterproof Match Box is an excellent container for the Strike Anywhere Matches which Red Fox Strongly recommends. The advantage of this
match type is that it can be struck on numerous abrasive surfaces to light, such as a rock, seat of your pants or the flint on the bottom of this
orange plastic Waterproof Match Box. Red Fox does not recommend using wind/waterproof matches because of their significant disadvantages which
could leave you without a life saving fire. This topic is discussed further in our Emergency/Survival Instructions. Due to Federal Department of
Transportation/HazMat shipping regulations, no matches are included in this Match Box or Red Fox Kit. You will need to supply them yourself from
your local market.
Emergency Candle
With a 4 hour burn time, this Emergency Candle is a great light source and can also keep you warm in a snow cave. Red Fox teaches you how to
use this candle and one Strike Anywhere Match to light your life saving fire. It's critical to not waste match after match in an attempt to start one
fire. Our method allows you to have matches left over to start future fires. Measuring 3/4" x 5", this candle also fits many popular candle
lanterns and is handy for camping and backpacking as well as emergencies!

Emergency Sunglasses
Sunglasses are an essential part of your outdoor gear. When your daily sunglasses are broken, lost or forgotten, our Emergency Sunglasses, which block
damaging UV A and B rays, will prevent disabling snow blindness and secondary eye infection. Eye infections can result in fever, dehydration,
generalized fatigue and may require antibiotic treatment. Snow blindness does not only occur while out in the snow during winter months, but also
during summer months. As well as being out in the snow, the possibility of becoming snow blind significantly increases if you are out on open water
and/or gain elevation in the mountains.
